Larry was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 14, 1953. After living for a period of time in East Texas he moved to Shreveport in 1959 and has lived in Shreveport since that date. He graduated summa cum laude from Northeast University with degrees in Government and Spanish in 1975. He graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1978. He was director of the moot court board. He returned to Shreveport upon graduation to clerk for United States Federal Judge Tom Stagg. After this two year clerkship, he entered private practice focusing primarily on civil litigation. He is a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, a founding member of the Harry V. Booth-Henry A. Politz Inn of Court, Shreveport Bar Association, and a member of the Georgia and Louisiana Bar.
