Marshall Perkins joined the firm in 2019. Marshall practices in multiple areas of civil litigation, including insurance coverage and defense, public entity defense, commercial litigation, and medical malpractice. Marshall is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, as well as the Western District of Louisiana
Marshall was born and raised in New Orleans. He graduated from Ben Franklin High School in 2003, and received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. In law school, Marshall served on the editorial board of the Louisiana Law Review as executive senior editor.
After law school, Marshall spent over two years clerking for the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. He first clerked from Magistrate Judge Kathleen Kay, in Lake Charles, and then for District Judge Donald Walter, in Shreveport. During his Shreveport clerkship, Marshall met his wife, Ashley, a local middle school teacher and Shreveport-Bossier native. Prior to joining the firm, Marshall practiced at a boutique New Orleans firm, where his practice primarily involved consumer protection, antitrust, and commercial litigation.
