Biography
An accomplished advocate and leader, Thomas Pressly provides legal advice and aggressive representation to clients in Louisiana state and federal trial and appellate courts. Thomas’s practice focuses on trucking litigation, insurance defense, premises liability, casualty and general litigation matters. Since 2014, he has gained the respect of courts, his clients and his colleagues by thorugh zealous, successful advocacy.
Thomas is also honored to serve as an member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, where he serves as member of the Commerce, Health and Welfare, Judiciary, and Joint Medicaid Oversight committees, and chairs the Medicaid estimating conference. He has received acclaim for his common sense approach to legislation, legislative advocacy for pro-growth policies, and determination to tackle tough issues facing Louisiana.
Thomas obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2013 and a Bachelors of Science cum laude from Texas Christian University in 2009. He was proud to serve as TCU Student Body President. After graduation from law school, Thomas served as law clerk for United States District Judge S. Maurice Hicks, Jr. of the Western District of Louisiana, where he gained a strong foundation in legal research and writing and federal practice.
