
Valerie DeLatte

Biography
Valerie has extensive experience in civil litigation in both plaintiff and defense advocacy. She began her career as a judicial law clerk at the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal and, in practice, has handled numerous appeals and oral arguments. She has devoted much of her practice to focusing on client experience, communication, and education. Her goal is to reach efficient, successful resolutions as quickly as possible. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana in state and federal court.
Valerie views her career as a vocation of service to clients and community, which imparts a duty of leadership in all tasks undertaken. She has served as the President for the Shreveport Young Lawyers’ Section (2019) and Shreveport Women’s Section (2023). She is an active member of the state and local bar serving in various capacities, volunteers as a mentor and coaches a local high school mock trial team in the areas of public speaking, trial practice, and the rules of evidence.
Valerie obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2014, where she was a competing member of the Loyola Trial Advocacy team, and she obtained a Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of New Orleans. She was an accomplished center-midfielder, played soccer for the Louisiana State team, participated in the olympic development program, and helped found a women’s soccer program at the University of New Orleans.
